An Evening in Hollywood – A Night for the Museum
The Dacotah Prairie Museum held its 2nd Annual fund raiser Gala at the Ward Hotel Crystal Ballroom on the night of October 1, 2011. The Ballroom was transformed into a Hollywood Red-carpeted Extravaganza!
Everyone enjoyed the evening of Hollywood glamour that included food and music which were movie themed. Attendees dressed as their favorite movie characters. The music provided by Jay Dean and Rob Brandner encouraged movie memories and dancing, and the prize committee had many surprises in store.
Proceeds from the event helped the Museum fund special projects such as the restoration of a Frank Ashford painting and the preservation of some of Aberdeen and Brown County’s earliest newspapers. Special events and the expanded Children’s Exhibits for winter also benefited from funds raised.
Thank you to those that came for a night of Hollywood excitement and helped save some of Brown County’s endangers historic treasures! Thank you for spending an "Evening in Hollywood" to benefit the Dacotah Prairie Museum.
