Gallery B – Prairie Diorama
This is an accurate representation of how northeastern South Dakota looked before early settlers arrived. Notice there are no trees; there were few, if any, in this area. Those we have today are almost all hand-planted. The prairie grasses shown are genuine native grasses which are chemically preserved. The prairie flowers are reproductions of native plants. Stop in to view them in person.
