Gallery I – Frontier Towns on the Prairie: the Settling of Brown County

This three room exhibit is united by a prairie background of sky and wild grass and tells the story of the settlement of Brown County. You will see heirloom photos, newspapers, and maps which enhance the histories of each Brown County town from Aberdeen to Verdon. Each room boasts its own “Frontier Town” storefront; one of which is an authentic general store including a “hands-on” table with vintage merchandise items for you to identify and price.
